Engineer Intern

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and curious candidate for a Payments Intern role with a strong interest in payments technology, transaction processing, and banking operations. The intern will support proof of concepts and analysis across payment applications, helping improve process efficiency, operational visibility, issue resolution, documentation, and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and execution of proof of concepts across payment applications, focusing on practical business use cases and process efficiency.
• Learn payment flows, transaction life cycle, integration touchpoints, validations, exception handling, and reconciliation.
• Work with stakeholders to understand payment processes, user journeys, and improvement opportunities.
• Assist in building, validating, and documenting prototypes for transaction tracking, exception analysis, and operational dashboards.
• Prepare test cases, validate transaction scenarios, and support defect analysis across payment workflows.
• Document use cases, process flows, test results, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers to align solutions with business needs.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a BE/BTech/MTech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Academic, internship, or project-based exposure to software development, testing, data analysis, or automation.
• Foundational proficiency in Python and scripting for prototyping and API-based integrations.
• Basic understanding of APIs, connectors, middleware, and data exchange patterns.
• Ability to analyze transaction data and support operational dashboards.
