Data Engineer II

Role Overview

The Data Engineer II within the Global Business Services Center (GBSC) Analytics and Automation team acts as an idea incubator, designing smart, cost-effective solutions that empower customers with actionable insights. The role focuses on leveraging data to drive operational efficiency, using new-age technologies to discover insights and influence business decisions through advanced data analysis and automation.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple analytics projects and initiatives within GBSC and Mastercard.
• Identify, design, and implement data and process automation solutions.
• Engage with various teams to gather requirements and execute projects end-to-end.
• Develop new queries and Alteryx flows for extracting, transforming, and analyzing data.
• Develop Tableau dashboards and reports following visualization best practices.
• Participate in drafting documents and presentations for communicating innovations and discoveries.
• Generate and implement ideas to continuously improve analytics and reporting services delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3-4 years of experience in a data analyst position, preferably in financial services.
• Experience in Alteryx Server administration and infrastructure management.
• High proficiency in data preparation and ETL processes.
• Proven experience developing applications using Microsoft Power Apps.
• Strong understanding of the Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power BI.
• Experience with data integration and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of SQL with the ability to optimize complex queries.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
