Role Overview
Join a Global Analytics team at Mastercard to build large-scale analytical capabilities supporting users across 6 continents. As a Data Scientist II, you will be an evangelist for data-driven decision-making, working to architect, develop, and maintain advanced reporting and data visualization capabilities on large volumes of data to support global pricing teams and various products, markets, and services.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Global & Regional pricing teams to architect, develop, and maintain advanced reporting and data visualization capabilities.
- Translate business requirements into tangible solution specifications and high-quality, on-time deliverables.
- Create repeatable processes to support the development of modeling and reporting.
- Use tools to manipulate large-scale databases and synthesize data insights.
- Provide 1st level insights, conclusions, and assessments, presenting findings via interactive dashboards and presentations.
- Apply quality control, data validation, and cleansing processes to new and existing data sources.
- Interact with management and internal stakeholders to collect requirements.
Requirements
- Experience in data management, data mining, data analytics, data reporting, data product development, and quantitative analysis.
- Advanced SQL coding skills.
- Experience with platforms such as SQL Server and Microsoft BI Stack.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Domo, or Power BI.
- Experience with Hadoop or Ozone environments.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python, R, or PySpark.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or an MBA.
- Financial Institution or Payments experience is a plus.
- AI/ML hands-on experience is a plus.
