Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Java Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise payment solutions. The successful candidate will participate throughout the software development lifecycle, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver high-quality software for mission-critical financial applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable software solutions.
- Develop implementation specifications and technical designs.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and issue resolution.
- Analyze and resolve production defects in collaboration with support teams.
- Participate in code reviews and software quality initiatives.
- Support software releases and production deployments.
- Follow established software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA engineers, and project teams.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical best practices.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional Java software development experience.
- Strong experience with Java and J2EE.
- Solid knowledge of Core Java.
- Experience with Spring Framework, Hibernate, JPA, and JTA.
- Experience with XML, XMLBeans, XSD, REST APIs, and Web Services.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience with IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, and JMS.
- Experience with WebSphere and/or WebLogic.
- Familiarity with JUnit, Mockito, Maven, and Gradle.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of software engineering principles and SDLC.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Kafka, and Microservices is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Global PayPlus (GPP) and payment systems is highly preferred.
