Data Engineer II - FinLab

Role Overview

As a Data Engineer II within the FinLab team, you will help build the next generation of enterprise intelligence. You will analyze large amounts of data to drive insights for strategic decision-making and partner with client teams to develop AI-enabled custom software tools. You will act as an advocate for data and analytics, guiding teams on dataset selection and analytic strategies to ensure synergistic and cutting-edge results.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets to drive strategic insights for clients.
• Develop AI-enabled custom software tools for implementation within client organizations.
• Partner with client teams and cross-functional groups to ensure synergistic technical efforts.
• Guide teams on the proper selection of datasets and analytic strategies.
• Translate complex business problems into scalable analytical solutions.
• Communicate technical insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced professional degree in engineering, computer science, statistics, or data science (Master’s degree preferred).
• 3+ years of professional experience as a data analyst or data engineer.
• Experience developing optimization models, business algorithms, scenario planning models, or simulation engines.
• Experience delivering end-to-end analytics solutions spanning data engineering, BI, advanced analytics, and AI.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including ML engineers and business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices such as testing, code quality, and QA.
