Backend Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Node.js Backend Developer with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in backend development. The ideal candidate should have practical experience building REST APIs, working with relational databases, and collaborating using Git. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing backend applications while working closely with the development team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js and Express.js.
• Design, build, and consume RESTful APIs.
• Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Work with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases for application development.
• Optimize database queries and application performance.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members.
• Use GitLab for version control and code collaboration.
• Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards.
• Ensure application security and scalability.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Node.js backend development.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js and Express.js.
• Good understanding of MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with REST API development.
• Familiarity with GitLab and Git version control.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and JavaScript ES6+.
• Basic knowledge of authentication (JWT), middleware, and API security.
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
