Medical Coding Intern (ICD-10, CPT, Healthcare Documentation)

Role Overview

Medinex Workforce is seeking a Medical Coding Intern to support our remote healthcare data team. This role provides exposure to translating medical records into standardized codes accurately and compliantly within a professional environment focused on real project work and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Help review medical records and assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes
• Support coding accuracy and compliance checks
• Help maintain organized documentation of coded records
• Coordinate with team members to clarify unclear documentation
• Assist in identifying and correcting coding discrepancies

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Medical Coding, or similar
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare documentation
• Exposure to coding systems such as ICD-10 or CPT is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Own laptop and stable internet connection
