Backend Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for Backend Developers who don’t just build APIs—but understand how large-scale systems behave in production. You will work on high-performance, scalable backend systems, handling real-world traffic and performance challenges. This includes designing APIs, optimizing request flows, implementing caching strategies, and debugging across multiple layers (NGINX → Application → Redis → Database → AWS infrastructure).

If you enjoy solving latency issues, scaling systems to 100K+ users, and optimizing performance by 20–40%, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale backend services using Python (Django/Flask)
• Design robust REST APIs with validation, error handling, and observability
• Implement caching and async pipelines using Redis & Celery
• Work with NGINX as a reverse proxy and load balancer
• Design and optimize high-concurrency systems
• Optimize performance (latency, DB queries, memory, throughput)
• Debug production issues across layers (NGINX, app, Redis, DB, AWS)
• Work with AWS infrastructure for scalable deployments
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams
• Write clean, modular, testable code

Requirements

This is a systems-focused backend role. Understand request flow: Client → NGINX → Application → Redis → Database → AWS. Debug slow APIs, cache issues, latency, DB bottlenecks. Think in performance, scalability, reliability. Go beyond frameworks and understand internals.

• 1–5 years of backend development experience
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Experience with Django and/or Flask
• Strong Data Structures & Algorithms knowledge
• Redis (caching, TTL, rate limiting)
• NGINX (reverse proxy basics)
• Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS and REST APIs
• Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with Linux

Good to Have: Celery / asyncio, AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, Auto Scaling), Docker, Microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, React / JavaScript (basic understanding).
