TEV Connected Intelligence - Backend

Role Overview

Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI) is looking for a backend engineer to join the TEV Connected Intelligence team. You will drive innovation in automotive engineering and digitalization by developing scalable, high-performance backend applications and cloud-native solutions within a global R&D environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable and high-performance backend applications using Python frameworks.
• Design and implement serverless solutions using AWS Lambda and Cloud Native architectures.
• Build, maintain, and optimize RESTful and SOAP APIs using API Gateway.
• Integrate multiple data sources and databases into a unified application architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy cloud-native applications.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC).
• Develop, test, monitor, and maintain applications following Agile/SCRUM methodologies and CI/CD best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Strong expertise in Python backend development frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda and AWS Cloud services (EC2, S3, CloudFormation, etc.).
• Experience with DynamoDB and relational databases (RDS).
• Knowledge of ORM frameworks like SQLAlchemy or Django ORM.
• Understanding of OAuth 2.0 and OIDC.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Kubernetes, AWS ECS).
• Ability to work in Agile/SCRUM environments.
