Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Junior QA/QC Engineer to join our Quality Assurance / Quality Control department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all manufacturing activities, including the fabrication of process equipment, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers, comply with approved drawings, specifications, and international quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality inspection of process equipment, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and fabricated components.
- Ensure manufacturing activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, QAP and quality standards.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections during fabrication and assembly.
- Review material test certificates (MTCs), inspection reports, and quality documentation.
- Coordinate with production, welding, and inspection teams to resolve quality issues.
- Monitor welding, dimensional checks, NDT, hydro testing, and final inspection activities.
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC records, inspection reports, and documentation.
- Support customer and third-party inspections when required.
- Perform raw material inspection at vendor locations when required.
- Coordinate with LAB for testing purposes.
- Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- ASNT Level II – RT / PT / UT.
- 3–4 years of QA/QC experience in manufacturing of process equipment, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, fabrication processes, and inspection methods.
- Familiarity with QA/QC documentation, inspection procedures, and relevant codes/standards such as ASME, ASTM, and TEMA.
- Good communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
- Shop floor knowledge is an added advantage.
