Role Overview
MetLife is seeking a Software Platform Engineer II to join our New Frontier strategy, building an AI-enabled, people-centered future. This role focuses on developing scalable, distributed, and fault-tolerant platforms while leveraging Generative AI and Agentic AI to enhance financial services and customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Build and integrate Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions for automation and intelligent decision-making.
- Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) patterns to design complex systems aligned with business domains.
- Leverage Apache Kafka, Spark, and modern ETL tools for real-time and batch data processing.
- Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
- Design scalable, resilient, and high-performance systems using Event-Driven Architecture.
- Lead cloud migration and modernization efforts across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Requirements
- Proven experience in designing and developing scalable, distributed, and fault-tolerant platforms.
- Strong understanding of system design, architecture, and event-driven patterns.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and infrastructure automation.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Hyderabad, Telangana.
