Pharmacy Analytics Intern

Role Overview

Milliman’s CMH Health Practice is seeking a Pharmacy Analytics Intern for a full-time, temporary internship from September to December 2026. The intern will support the pharmacy group in navigating the complex industry and providing data-driven solutions to improve or lower the cost of care by reviewing pharmacy claims data and inputting elements into clinical and financial forecasting models.

Responsibilities

• Learn about qualitative and financial evaluations of PBM contracts, including pricing and fee schedules.
• Assist with developing models to conduct detailed analyses of pharmacy data, including pharmacy claims and eligibility data.
• Contribute to acquiring, standardizing, and merging various data sets to provide summarized reports.
• Observe and contribute to drafting proposals, presentations, exhibits, RFPs, and reports.
• Observe consulting activities including pricing, reserving, financial projections, model development, forecasting, and mergers and acquisitions.
• Contribute to technical work, including analyzing pharmacy financial data.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in math, finance, pharmacy, computer science, economics, statistics or a related quantitative major.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) from September to December 2026.
• Prior experience working with U.S. healthcare claims is preferred.
• Familiarity with pharmacy reimbursement in the United States.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
