Medical Software Developer

Role Overview

Mitos Medical Technology is on a mission to change healthcare for the better. We are looking for software developers who are passionate about creating high-quality medical software. In this role, you will develop, verify, and maintain software packages in compliance with the IEC 62304:2006 standard for our microwave breast cancer screening technology, S.A.F.E.

Responsibilities

• Develop, verify, and maintain software packages in compliance with IEC 62304:2006.
• Implement software modules in Python for automation of microwave measurement and mechatronic sub-systems.
• Manage patient databases including raw measurements.
• Integrate with diagnostic and imaging modules and hospital information systems.
• Develop user interfaces designed for radiology professionals.
• Create technical reports and diagrams in compliance with medical device regulations.

Requirements

• BSc in Software Engineering or a related Engineering field.
• Proven track record of software development expertise (demonstrative projects via Github encouraged).
• Expertise in implementing Python Desktop UI applications with database integration using QT/PySide6, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, and SQLite.
• Solid understanding of OOP, UML, design patterns, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Expertise in software verification, release management, version control (Git), and unit-testing.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Python AI landscape: Scikit-learn, Keras, PyTorch, or Tensorflow.
• Familiarity with scientific computing: Numpy, Pandas, or Matplotlib.
• Familiarity with Python interoperability with Rust, Nim, or C/C++.
