Android Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Android Developer with experience in Android Auto & Apple CarPlay for In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining Java-based Android middleware and application modules, implementing new features, fixing software defects, and ensuring high-quality software delivery in compliance with ASPICE standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based Android application and middleware modules for Android Auto & Apple CarPlay.
• Implement new features and resolve software defects.
• Align software with the latest Android releases and automotive specifications.
• Identify and resolve technical debt to improve software quality and code reusability.
• Follow ASPICE-compliant software development processes and Agile methodologies.
• Develop and maintain automated interface and feature test cases.
• Analyze, debug, and resolve customer-reported and internal software issues.
• Participate in customer discussions and provide technical support during integrations.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Java and Android Application/Middleware Development.
• Good knowledge of C++.
• Experience with Android Framework, Binder IPC, AIDL, HAL, System Services, SELinux, and Android startup sequence.
• Experience with Vehicle HAL (VHAL) and Android Car Service.
• Good understanding of Android USB, Audio, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Networking stacks.
• Experience working on ARM-based platforms with strong debugging and profiling skills.
• Experience in developing Automated Test Cases.
• Knowledge of ASPICE-compliant software development.
