Role Overview
The Core Platforms & Services team at Motorola Solutions is responsible for the development and operations of critical cloud infrastructure and platform services. The ideal candidate will analyze, develop, design, and maintain software for the organization’s platform infrastructure, focusing on building robust Kubernetes platforms across multi-cloud systems and driving their entire Lifecycle Management (LCM). You will act as a key engineering partner for application teams, ensuring high throughput, security, and absolute reliability across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Responsibilities
- Provision, manage, and drive the full Lifecycle Management (LCM) of Kubernetes clusters across multi-cloud environments.
- Network, cloud, and security design and implementation of core services.
- Support cloud platform operations and sovereign operations including issue troubleshooting and resolution.
- Utilize Helm charts extensively to deploy, update, and manage core application manifest components.
- Write robust automation scripts using Python and Bash to eliminate operational friction.
- Build, maintain, and optimize secure CI/CD pipelines for application and configuration delivery.
- Integrate fundamental Agentic AI concepts into the operational landscape.
- Leverage AI coding assistants to accelerate scripting and pipeline building.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3+ years of combined experience in Network Engineering, Security, or Cloud/DevOps Engineering.
- Experience with web infrastructure and distributed systems; strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, including managed clusters (EKS, AKS, GKE) and self-hosted environments.
- Deep familiarity with Helm for packaging and manifest deployment.
- Fundamental knowledge of Python and Bash for automation.
- Foundational understanding of Agentic AI concepts and proficiency with AI coding assistance tools.
