Role Overview
The Unified Communications Tier 3 department at Motorola Solutions is responsible for ensuring the reliability and maintainability of hardware, software processes, network facilities, controls, and security systems. This role focuses on troubleshooting 'Push-To-Talk' solutions, managing network configurations, and developing automation tools to monitor system health and performance.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, debug and drive ‘Push-To-Talk' solution issues to resolution by joining live troubleshooting calls with customers, capturing application logs & network captures.
- Deploy 'Push-To-Talk' application and configure network for communication across servers.
- Configure Linux routes and iptables according to network requirements.
- Monitor network performance, application performance and service integrity.
- Develop tools and provide Web Services to parse application logs, system health information and network captures.
- Develop tools to automate monitoring that assess and monitor Key Performance Indicators of the 'Push-To-Talk' solution.
- Maintain and enhance all monitoring and debugging tools.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Networking Protocols (Layer 3 to Layer 7).
- Understanding of complex application flows and layers.
- Experience with Web Services and Microservices.
- Understanding of Virtualized Environments.
- Great communication skills and ability to handle customer calls.
