Role Overview
As a DevOps Engineer you will design, build, and operate cloud-native platforms and tooling that enable secure, and reliable delivery of software products. This role demands combination of software engineering skills with deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, automation, and observability to support microservices and data platforms running on AWS. You will collaborate closely with product teams, architects, and QA to embed DevOps practices early in the lifecycle and drive a culture of automation and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate cloud-native infrastructure, platforms, and/or test frameworks on AWS.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation to provision and manage environments consistently.
- Build and own CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions including automated testing, scanning, and controlled deployments.
- Automate deployments for backend microservices, MuleSoft APIs, and UI applications.
- Support containerized workloads and platform services using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or OpenTelemetry.
- Integrate security checks into pipelines including SAST, DAST, and container image scanning.
- Apply IAM best practices and least-privilege policies in cloud environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 3-7 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or software/platform engineering roles.
- Strong experience with AWS services and cloud networking/security fundamentals.
- Proficiency with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
