Infrastructure Engineer, Associate

Role Overview

Join the digital revolution at NatWest Digital X. As an Infrastructure Engineer at the Associate level, you will help engineer technical infrastructures for departmental applications and services, ensuring high availability and cost-effective solutions within a secure digital environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the engineering of infrastructure technologies to achieve customer goals and optimal total cost of ownership.
• Review deployment documentation for all departmental infrastructure components.
• Assist with base builds for development environments and manage updates during system migration phases.
• Build user acceptance testing environments and manage infrastructure updates.
• Create technical test plans, record results, and engage with application and development teams.
• Develop technical implementation plans and running books for system deliveries.
• Work with design authorities to deploy resilient and cost-effective solutions.
• Contribute to roadmaps and strategies while managing third-party performance.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering and microservices.
• Strong understanding of how technical expertise supports customer applications and services.
• Ability to produce high availability, low-cost systems with a risk-based approach.
• Experience working with design authorities and contributing to technical roadmaps.
