Role Overview
Join NatWest Digital X as a Software Engineer (Associate Vice President level) to engineer simple, secure, and effortless digital experiences. This role is based in Gurugram, India, and involves working within a feature team responsible for the full software lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Engineer and maintain innovative, customer-centric, high-performance, secure, and robust solutions.
- Produce complex and critical software rapidly and of high quality.
- Work within permanent teams responsible for the full life cycle: initial development, enhancement, maintenance, replacement, or decommissioning.
- Collaborate to optimize software engineering capability.
- Design, produce, test, and implement working code.
- Work across the life cycle, from requirements analysis and design, through coding to testing, deployment, and operations.
- Liaise with other engineers, architects, and business analysts across the platform.
Requirements
You must have at least eight years of experience in software engineering, software design, and architecture.
- Expertise in ReactJS, writing functional components and hooks, along with SPA state management.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and pre-processors like Sass and SCSS.
- Understanding of HTML DOM CSS, testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, and front-end development tools like Babel, Webpack, and NPM.
- Experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, scalable cloud-native applications, TDD, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
- Experience working with development and testing tools, bug tracking tools, and wikis.
