Responsibilities
- Engineer and maintain innovative, customer centric, high performance, secure and robust solutions.
- Work within a feature team, using extensive experience to engineer software, scripts and tools that are often complex.
- Liaise with other engineers, architects and business analysts across the platform.
- Produce complex and critical software rapidly and of high quality which adds value to the business.
- Work in permanent teams responsible for the full life cycle, from initial development, through enhancement and maintenance to replacement or decommissioning.
- Collaborate to optimise software engineering capability.
- Design, produce, test and implement working code.
- Work across the life cycle, from requirements analysis and design, through coding to testing, deployment and operations.
Requirements
You will need at least eight years of experience in software engineering, software design, architecture, and an understanding of how your area of expertise supports our customers.
- Experience of working with development and testing tools, bug tracking tools and wikis.
- Expertise in ReactJS, writing functional components and hooks, along with SPA state management.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS and pre-processors like Sass and SCSS.
- Understanding of HTML DOM CSS, testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress and front-end development tools like Babel, Webpack and NPM.
- Experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, scalable cloud-native applications, TDD, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Kafka and Kubernetes.
