Role Overview

Join NatWest Digital X as a Software Engineer at the associate level. You will be part of a digital revolution, engineering simple, secure, and effortless digital experiences. This role involves working within feature teams to engineer and maintain innovative, customer-centric, high-performance solutions across the full software development life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Produce complex and critical software rapidly and of high quality to add business value.
• Work in permanent teams responsible for the full life cycle, from initial development to decommissioning.
• Collaborate to optimize software engineering capabilities.
• Design, produce, test, and implement working software solutions.
• Work across the entire life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and operations.
• Liaise with engineers, architects, and business analysts across the platform.

Requirements

• Background in software engineering, software design, and architecture.
• Experience in Intranet application development, maintenance, and support.
• Experience in configuring Splunk or DX Application Performance Management for alerting and monitoring.
• Background in incident, problem, and change management.
• Experience implementing programming best practices regarding scalability, automation, virtualization, optimization, availability, and performance.
