Responsibilities
- Engineering and maintaining innovative, customer-centric, high-performance, secure, and robust solutions.
- Working within a feature team to engineer software, scripts, and tools.
- Liaising with other engineers, architects, and business analysts across the platform.
- Producing complex and critical software rapidly and of high quality which adds value to the business.
- Working in permanent teams responsible for the full life cycle, from initial development through enhancement and maintenance to replacement or decommissioning.
- Collaborating to optimise our software engineering capability.
- Designing, producing, testing, and implementing working software solutions.
- Working across the life cycle, from requirements analysis and design, through coding to testing, deployment, and operations.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on software development experience in building, enhancing, and delivering enterprise-grade applications.
- Hands-on experience with AI-driven software engineering including Prompt Engineering, MCP, AI agent architectures, RAG and RESTful API integration.
- Strong experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable microservices and distributed applications using Java/J2EE and cloud-native architecture patterns.
- Solid understanding of Cloud Engineering, DevOps, and Agile practices, containerization, observability, automated testing, and CI/CD toolchains.
- Background in software engineering, software design, and architecture.
