Responsibilities

• Producing complex and critical software rapidly and of high quality which adds value to the business
• Working in permanent teams who are responsible for the full life cycle, from initial development, through enhancement and maintenance to replacement or decommissioning
• Collaborating to optimise our software engineering capability
• Designing, producing, testing and implementing our working software solutions
• Working across the life cycle, from requirements analysis and design, through coding to testing, deployment and operations

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on software development experience in building, enhancing, and delivering enterprise-grade applications.
• Hands-on experience with AI-driven software engineering including Prompt Engineering, MCP, AI agent architectures, RAG and RESTful API integration.
• Strong experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable microservices and distributed applications using Java/J2EE and cloud-native architecture patterns.
• Solid understanding of Cloud Engineering, DevOps, and Agile practices, containerization, observability, automated testing, and CI/CD toolchains.
