Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in test automation and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks and test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of web, mobile, and API applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools.
- Build and enhance test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.
- Identify, log, and track defects through resolution.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and quality initiatives.
- Develop CI/CD-integrated automated testing solutions.
- Perform regression, functional, integration, and smoke testing.
- Create and maintain test documentation, reports, and metrics.
- Continuously improve automation coverage and testing efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
- Strong experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience in API testing using Postman or Rest Assured.
- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with version control tools like Git.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Experience working with defect tracking tools like Jira.
