Role Overview
Ness is a global leader in digital transformation and a full lifecycle digital engineering firm. We are seeking a Selenium Web Automation Test Engineer to design, build, and integrate digital platforms and enterprise software. This role involves driving quality through scalable automation frameworks and collaborating across the development lifecycle to ensure high-quality digital solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement a scalable test automation framework and strategy using Selenium WebDriver.
- Create test strategies, test plans, and test cases within an Agile development methodology.
- Develop and maintain methods and libraries to scale the automation suite.
- Develop scripts for Web Services and Rest Services.
- Contribute to automation frameworks written in Java, Selenium, and SQL.
- Execute automated tests, analyze results, and identify defects.
- Collaborate with developers and QA analysts to develop effective testing strategies.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide input on testability and quality risks.
- Report, document, and track bug resolutions.
- Perform manual testing as required.
Requirements
- 3-6+ years of experience in writing web automation scripts using Java, Selenium, BDD, and Cucumber.
- Experience designing and architecting scalable, maintainable, and reusable automation frameworks.
- Ability to develop high-quality test scripts using Java and Python.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI).
- Proficiency in cross-browser and cross-platform testing using Selenium Grid, BrowserStack, or Sauce Labs.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- Experience validating data integrity and performing database checks for automated scenarios.
- Banking domain experience is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Pega applications is especially desirable.
