Job Description
Role Overview
As a Software Quality Engineer, you will design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans for customer-facing web portals, analytics dashboards, backend services, and device-to-cloud communications. You will perform end-to-end testing across the complete service chain, ensuring high quality through automation, network validation, and continuous integration within an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans for web portals, APIs, and device-to-cloud communications.
- Perform end-to-end, smoke, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Python.
- Create automated UI tests and API automation for RESTful services.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Verify connectivity between devices, backend services, and front-end applications.
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of service issues.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps engineers.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience in Software QA or Test Engineering.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Experience developing automated test frameworks and testing web applications.
- Experience with REST API testing and automation.
- Knowledge of Linux systems and command-line tools.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, and Wi-Fi/WLAN.
- Experience analyzing log files and troubleshooting complex system issues.
- Familiarity with Git.
- Experience with tools such as Playwright, Selenium, PyTest, Behave, or Robot Framework.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
