Embedded System Engineer

Role Overview

Nexus Battery Solutions focuses on innovative energy storage technologies that support modern electronic and embedded systems. The Embedded System Engineer Intern will support the design, development, and testing of embedded software and hardware for battery-powered devices in a fully remote setting. You will contribute to real-world projects, learn from experienced engineers, and work on IoT prototypes and power management solutions.

Responsibilities

• Implement and debug firmware.
• Integrate sensors and communication modules.
• Assist in system architecture and interface design.
• Analyze system performance and participate in code reviews.
• Document designs, test results, and technical procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IoT prototypes and electronics validation.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in embedded software and software development for microcontrollers and real-time systems.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering principles related to circuits, power management, and hardware interfaces.
• Familiarity with Internet of Things (IoT) concepts, including connectivity protocols and sensor integration.
• Understanding of electronics components, PCB-level design basics, and hardware debugging tools.
• Ability to read schematics and use lab instruments such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Relevant coursework or project experience in embedded systems, computer engineering, or electrical engineering.
• Effective communication skills for a remote work environment.
