Job Description
Role Overview
As a Data Engineer within the Global Technology organization, you will work on Nike's internal product tools, building modular, configurable, and API-First capabilities. You will collaborate with engineers, Technical Product Managers, and Principal Engineers to deliver state-of-the-art tools for the Consumer Product and Innovation (CP&I) community.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers in building tooling for the Consumer Product & Innovation team.
- Develop API-First capabilities to be consumed by modern SPA frameworks.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and provide guidance and coaching to junior team members.
- Implement ETL/ELT processes and manage data pipelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 1-2+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or software development.
- Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python for automation and data processing.
- Exposure to Spark or distributed data processing frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Understanding of data modeling, Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to REST API development and microservices architecture.
