Role Overview
We are looking for a Backend Engineer to build and operate production-grade distributed systems, focusing on declarative policy enforcement, streaming delta updates, and robust API design. You will be responsible for ensuring high availability, security, and scalability across a geographically distributed fleet.
Responsibilities

- Stream delta updates (xDS-style) to a large, distributed fleet with drift detection and idempotent reconciliation loops.
- Implement staged and canaried configuration with automatic rollback and deterministic revert capabilities.
- Develop spec-first OpenAPI 3.1 contracts with codegen, linting, and contract testing.
- Manage tenant-scoped RBAC/ABAC, hard isolation, and zero-downtime certificate rotation using mTLS and SPIFFE/SPIRE.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building and operating production backend systems.
- Proficiency in systems languages like Go, Rust, Java, or C++.
- Deep experience in API design (REST/gRPC) including idempotency and backward compatibility.
- Hands-on experience with OpenAPI specification and spec-first modeling.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals (consistency models, partial failure, retries).
- Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Kubernetes, and containers.
