Java Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Java Developer to join our team in Bhubaneswar. This is an internship-to-PPO opportunity designed for candidates looking to kickstart their careers in backend development through a structured 6-month program involving an initial unpaid training phase followed by a stipend-based period.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and service-based architectures.
• Work with Hibernate / JPA for efficient database interaction.
• Build scalable systems using microservices architecture.
• Work with MySQL or PostgreSQL databases for data storage and optimization.
• Debug and troubleshoot production issues and improve system performance.
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement new backend features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Core Java and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
• Good understanding of Hibernate / JPA.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL).
• Experience building or consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Immediate joiners preferred.
• Candidates from Odisha will be given preference.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Spring WebFlux (Reactive Programming).
• Knowledge of gRPC-based service communication.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with API Gateways or service communication patterns.
• Basic understanding of caching strategies (Redis, in-memory caching, etc.).
