Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled PLC Programmer with specialized experience in wastewater or water treatment automation systems (WWTP/STP). This role focuses on developing and maintaining PLC/SCADA systems to monitor and control critical treatment processes including pumping, filtration, aeration, and chemical dosing.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop PLC programs for wastewater treatment plants (WWTP/STP)
- Configure and maintain SCADA/HMI systems for plant monitoring and control
- Automate key processes such as pumping stations, aeration systems, clarifiers, filtration units, and chemical dosing systems
- Integrate field instruments (flow, level, pressure, pH, DO sensors) with PLC systems
- Troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, and instrumentation issues
- Interpret P&ID diagrams, electrical schematics, and control narratives
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards
- Maintain proper documentation and version control of PLC programs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering
- Strong domain expertise in WWTP, STP, or WTP processes
- Understanding of biological treatment, filtration, clarification, and sludge handling
- Ability to work on-site and handle commissioning activities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
