QA Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our quality engineering team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software testing fundamentals along with hands-on experience in test automation using Java and Playwright. This role is suitable for someone who enjoys both manual testing and automation testing and wants to work on real-world enterprise applications and business workflows.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements and identify test scenarios.
• Prepare detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify, investigate, document, and track software defects.
• Develop and maintain automated UI test cases using Java and Playwright.
• Build reusable and maintainable automation components following Page Object Model (POM).
• Perform API testing and validate request/response data.
• Validate application data using SQL/database queries.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Support test execution through CI/CD pipelines and maintain code using Git.

Requirements

• 0 - 2 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, SDLC, and STLC.
• Hands-on experience with Java and Playwright.
• Knowledge of OOP concepts including Encapsulation, Inheritance, Polymorphism, and Abstraction.
• Experience with API Testing and understanding of RESTful services.
• Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge for database validation.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
