Role Overview
We are seeking a SatCom Design Engineer specializing in IoT Payload Design & Integration. This role involves the R&D and manufacturing of state-of-the-art avionics-grade, defense-grade, and railway-grade equipment, focusing on end-to-end satellite IoT communication systems for LEO constellations.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop end-to-end satellite IoT communication systems including space, ground, and user segments.
- Ensure compliance with 3GPP standards, NTN, and 5G/6G integration.
- Perform link budget analysis and optimize communication performance for low-power IoT devices.
- Evaluate communication protocols such as LoRa and NB-IoT.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies like ITU, IN-SPACe, and WPC for spectrum allocation.
- Provide simulation models using tools like STK to support base terminal design.
- Design and optimize waveforms, modulation schemes, and coding techniques.
- Collaborate with RF, hardware, and embedded teams on frequency planning and antenna design.
- Perform simulations and modeling using MATLAB and Python.
- Support system integration, testing, and validation across hardware, RF, and software domains.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in satellite or telecommunications engineering.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of satellite communication systems and IoT architectures.
- In-depth knowledge of 3GPP standards for Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN).
- Proficiency in link budget analysis and waveform design.
- Experience with network simulation tools and programming for data analysis.
