Intern - AI Engineering

Role Overview

Support the Digital & AI Centre of Excellence by helping convert business requirements into practical AI proof-of-concepts and delivery-ready solution components. This is a hands-on builder role intended for a fresher or early-career engineer to build working versions, test with users, and support senior engineers in moving successful ideas toward secure, maintainable production use.

Responsibilities

• Work with business and product teams to understand workflows, pain points, and data availability.
• Break ambiguous requests into clear problem statements, assumptions, and success criteria.
• Build quick prototypes using approved AI tools, APIs, prompts, retrieval patterns, or workflow agents.
• Write clean, understandable code with proper use of source control.
• Use AI-assisted and agentic coding platforms productively while reviewing and debugging output.
• Help convert promising POCs into reusable components, APIs, prompts, or evaluation checks.
• Follow approved platform, security, privacy, and responsible AI guardrails.

Requirements

• Fresh graduate or candidate with experience in software engineering, AI/ML, data science, or related project work.
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Data Science, AI/ML, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Academic projects, internships, hackathons, GitHub portfolio, or capstone work involving AI, automation, data, or APIs.
• Strong learning ability, curiosity, discipline, and execution focus.
