MERN Stack Intern

Role Overview

Ocean Softwares is looking for enthusiastic and motivated MERN Stack Developer Interns who are eager to gain hands-on experience in full-stack web development. Interns will work on real-time projects under the guidance of experienced developers and gain practical exposure to industry-standard development practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop responsive web applications using the MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js).
• Build reusable and maintainable frontend components using React.js.
• Develop RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Design and manage MongoDB databases.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance.
• Participate in code reviews and team discussions.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers, Business Analysts, and QA teams.
• Maintain project documentation and update assigned tasks regularly.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and Bootstrap/Tailwind CSS.
• Basic understanding of React.js and Node.js.
• Familiarity with Express.js and MongoDB.
• Understanding of REST APIs.
• Basic knowledge of Git and GitHub.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Final-year students or recent graduates in B.E./B.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc. IT, M.Sc. IT, or related disciplines.
• Available for a 3 to 6-month internship and willing to work from the Chennai office.
