Engineer Intern

Role Overview

Online Saathi, a transformative initiative by Panah Foundation, is seeking an Engineer Intern to support the design, development, and maintenance of our digital platform. Based on-site in Ahmedabad, you will help bridge the digital divide for India’s migrant workers by building tools that provide legal, healthcare, and educational resources. This role involves collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to translate real-world user needs into effective technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coding and debugging features to improve user experience.
• Test and document software to ensure high quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to implement platform enhancements.
• Integrate new services and information modules into the existing system.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to system performance and security.
• Participate in team meetings and share progress updates.

Requirements

• Foundational programming and software development skills.
• Basic understanding of front-end or back-end concepts.
• Experience working with APIs or databases.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging abilities.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.
• Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT is preferred.
• A strong interest in social impact and digital inclusion.
