AI/Python Software Developer

Role Overview

As a Software Developer at OpenText, you will independently develop complex software while taking ownership of code quality and timely delivery. You will play an active role in analysis, design, and planning, helping the team resolve issues quickly and adopt strong engineering practices, including agile development and test-driven development.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop complex software for enterprise products.
• Take ownership of code quality, including active code reviews and defect prevention.
• Participate in estimation, planning, and design discussions from the ground up.
• Collaborate in an agile environment using test-driven development practices.
• Work with modern AI frameworks and agentic AI tools.

Requirements

• Strong, hands-on experience with Python and its libraries.
• Good understanding of AI frameworks and their practical application.
• Experience with agentic AI concepts, including the development and deployment of tools and agents.
• Hands-on experience working with LangGraph/LangChain.
• BE/B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech/MBA/MSc in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of enterprise product development experience.
• Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts and techniques.
• Proficiency in REST API implementation and consuming different APIs.
• Hands-on experience with UI frameworks such as BackboneJS or AngularJS.
• Experience with regression testing and CI/CD.
