Role Overview
OpenText is seeking a Software Developer to work on the architecture, design, and implementation of a large-scale, highly distributed enterprise server protection product covering backup of on-premises and cloud-based workloads.
Responsibilities
- Independently develop complex software and take ownership of code quality.
- Actively review source code and implement defect prevention steps.
- Participate in analysis, design, planning, and process improvement.
- Adopt Agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Experience with C/C++.
- Exposure to Angular, scripting languages, socket programming, and Inter-Process Communication (IPC).
- Exposure to UNIX platforms including Linux, Solaris, HP-UX, or AIX.
- Knowledge of Data Protection (Enterprise backup and restore) and Database technologies.
- Experience or exposure to Virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hypervisor.
