Backend Developer (Python)

Role & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable backend services using Python for high-traffic B2C applications.
• Design, develop, and optimize REST APIs and backend systems following clean architecture and best engineering practices.
• Develop and ship AI/ML-powered features, with exposure to Agentic AI being a strong advantage.
• Integrate backend services with third-party platforms and external systems.
• Design efficient database schemas and optimize SQL/NoSQL queries for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and AI teams to build customer-focused features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while participating in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Debug production issues, improve system reliability, and continuously optimize application performance.

Ideal Candidate

• Strong Backend Python Developer Profile
• Mandatory (Experience 1) – Must have 3+ years of hands-on Backend Engineering experience usign Python building production-grade systems in a B2C product environment
• Mandatory (Experience 2) –Must have 6 month+ experience building and shipping AI/ML based features (agentic Ai experience is highly preferred)
• Mandatory (Experience 3) – Must have a solid understanding of backend fundamentals, including API development, service-oriented architecture, data structures, algorithms, and clean coding practices
