Role Overview
Optum is a global organization that delivers care, aided by technology to help millions of people live healthier lives. As an Associate DevOps Engineer, you will provide 24x7 operational support for the Advocate Central platform, ensuring system availability, reliability, and performance across production and non-production environments while contributing to cloud transformation and infrastructure enhancement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide 24x7 operational support for the Advocate Central platform to ensure system availability and reliability.
- Monitor application, infrastructure, and platform health using enterprise monitoring and observability tools.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release management activities.
- Assist with Azure cloud infrastructure administration, including networking and security configurations.
- Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, database, and networking issues.
- Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and DevSecOps practices.
- Support security initiatives including vulnerability remediation and compliance activities.
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve stability.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience supporting CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- 1+ years of experience working with Docker or containerized deployments.
- 1+ years of experience with cloud networking solutions.
- 1+ years of experience developing Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.
- Experience with monitoring platforms such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus.
- Experience with scripting using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Knowledge of Azure networking concepts and cloud security practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Experience with AI tools like GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
