Associate Software Engineer II

Role Overview

Optum is a global organization delivering care aided by technology. As an Associate Software Engineer II, you will build production-grade solutions, PoCs, and automation patterns. You will implement business requirements to build cloud platforms on Azure and contribute to migrating products across various tech stacks, including building AI/ML enabled solutions to increase efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the entire lifecycle from architecture building to writing code.
• Implement complex features and components of the cloud platform.
• Develop PoCs and prototypes to validate suggested designs and technologies.
• Ensure Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) such as scalability, security, and extensibility are met.
• Perform troubleshooting across different technologies and environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of industry experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Azure cloud platform and DevOps.
• 2+ years of experience with Terraform, Python, or Go.
• 1+ years of experience with Java, SpringBoot, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Experience architecting Zero Trust solutions and Security patterns on cloud.
• Experience building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.

Nice to Have

• Azure Cloud Certification.
• Experience in the Healthcare domain.
