Role Overview
Pace Robotics is transforming building construction with intelligent, multi-tasking robots. We are looking for a Robotics Data & Interface Engineering Intern who can bridge the gap between human operators, cloud infrastructure, and embedded robotic software. You will build native control interfaces, architect data platforms, and design API endpoints for end-user system integrations.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop a native GUI using Qt / PyQt5.
- Interface GUI components with ROS 2 nodes, topics, and services.
- Establish UI/UX design and workflows tailored for industrial environments.
- Create a centralized data platform to track robot work progress, diagnostics, and telemetry.
- Build and expose robust REST API endpoints for seamless integration.
- Connect live robot telemetry to cloud environments for remote analytics.
- Work hands-on with physical robot hardware and embedded Linux edge devices.
- Develop operational dashboards and visualization tools.
Requirements
- Recent graduate with less than 1 year of experience or currently in final year with a degree in Computer Science.
- Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with Qt and PyQt5 (or PySide6).
- Working knowledge of ROS 2 concepts.
- Familiarity with React JS, Next JS, and REST API architecture.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Firebase, AWS, or GCP.
- Comfort with Linux / Ubuntu systems.
- Knowledge of Git.
