Software Engineer Intern

Role Overview

As a Software Engineer Intern at PairNova, you will contribute to the development of core platform features that power AI-driven matchmaking and engaging user experiences. This is a fully remote internship designed to provide hands-on experience working on a real, live startup product, allowing you to work closely with mentors and participate in the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining backend and application features.
• Write clean, readable, and maintainable code.
• Develop and integrate APIs and backend services.
• Work with databases and data models.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Write and maintain technical documentation.
• Test new features and help identify and resolve bugs.
• Collaborate remotely with developers and other team members.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Understanding of backend web development, APIs, and databases.
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or Software Engineering.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and basic software testing practices.
• Ability to learn quickly and independently in a remote environment.
