Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Role Overview

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to work on enterprise Banking applications using modern automation technologies. This role involves building scalable automation frameworks, validating APIs, and collaborating with Agile teams to deliver high-quality software in a leading organization's Gurgaon office.

Responsibilities

• Designing robust automation frameworks.
• Developing Selenium automation scripts.
• Automating REST APIs using REST Assured.
• Performing Web UI automation.
• Executing API regression suites.
• Writing reusable automation components.
• Validating backend databases using SQL.
• Integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborating with developers during Agile sprints.
• Reviewing automation execution reports.
• Identifying and reporting defects.
• Supporting release validation.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Java or Python.
• Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver and TestNG.
• Experience with REST Assured and API Automation.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Page Object Model (POM).
• Knowledge of BDD Concepts, Jenkins, Git, and GitHub/GitLab.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Banking Domain Experience is mandatory.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Cucumber, Behave, or JMeter.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Microservices Testing.
• Proficiency with Allure Reports or Extent Reports.
