Software Engineer II

Role Overview

PDI is a leader in providing integrated, cloud-based solutions for the convenience retail and petroleum wholesale industry. We are seeking a developer to build intelligent, AI-powered systems across Point of Sale, Electronic Payment Systems, and Forecourt management, delivering high-availability transactional workloads and next-generation product innovation.

Responsibilities

• Build intelligent systems using C# and .NET, incorporating real-time analytics and multi-step automation workflows.
• Develop next-generation ASP.NET Core platforms with generative AI features and predictive management.
• Leverage LLMs and multimodal models within .NET service architectures using SignalR and Entity Framework Core.
• Develop and maintain integrations with payment terminals and forecourt controllers using ISO 8583, EMV, and NFC.
• Design RESTful and event-driven APIs using ASP.NET Core Web API and deploy to Azure or AWS using Docker and CI/CD.
• Write automated tests using xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest and build UI components using React.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience in production systems.
• Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, and Entity Framework Core.
• Experience integrating LLMs or AI services into backend systems, including prompt engineering and RAG.
• Familiarity with payment protocols like ISO 8583, EMV, and PCI-DSS compliance.
• Experience with cloud deployment using Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and SignalR for real-time communication.
