Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Teradata Engineer to design, develop, and manage data warehousing solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Teradata, data engineering practices, and CI/CD processes, and should be comfortable working in an enterprise data environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data warehousing solutions using Teradata.
- Build and optimise ETL workflows for structured and unstructured data.
- Develop and manage complex Teradata queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reporting layers.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for data solutions (using tools like Azure DevOps, Git, etc.).
- Collaborate closely with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Troubleshoot data issues and perform root cause analysis.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Teradata development and data engineering.
- Expertise in SQL (advanced queries, optimisation, performance tuning).
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines for data solutions.
- Experience with Teradata utilities (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPump).
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (star schema, snowflake, dimensional modelling).
- Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, ADF, etc.).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP).
- Scripting languages like Python (good to have).
- Experience with version control tools (Git).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in large-scale data environments.
