OpenShift/OpenStack�Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled OpenShift/OpenStack Engineer with 5+ years of experience to design, deploy, and manage enterprise-scale private cloud and containerized environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in OpenStack, OpenShift, and Linux, with hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure automation, platform operations, security, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and deploy highly available, scalable, and high-performance OpenStack-based private cloud environments
• Implement and manage container platforms using OpenShift to support modern application workloads
• Ensure infrastructure design aligns with enterprise-grade availability, resilience, and performance standards
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance
• Perform regular upgrades, patching, and capacity planning for cloud platforms
• Manage day-to-day cloud operations across compute, storage, and networking components
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, and cloud management
• Leverage Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages to improve efficiency and reduce manual work
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation and deployment
• Configure and manage cloud networking (Neutron, SDN, load balancing, etc.)
• Optimize system performance across compute, storage, and networking layers
• Troubleshoot complex issues in distributed cloud environments
• Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards
• Implement identity management, access control, and data protection mechanisms
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, audits, and remediation activities

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with OpenStack (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, Keystone, etc.)
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes platform deployment and management
• Expertise in Linux system administration (RHEL / CentOS / Ubuntu)
• Proficiency in automation & scripting tools (Python, Shell, Ansible, Terraform preferred)
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, virtualization, and storage architectures
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack
• Working knowledge of security frameworks, governance, and compliance standards
• Certifications in OpenStack / Kubernetes / OpenShift (preferred)
• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of enterprise HA/DR architectures
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-impact environment
