We are seeking experienced Python Embedded Test Engineers who excel in validating complex embedded systems with a focus on automation, reliability, and performance. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python for embedded systems.
- Develop and execute test cases for firmware, drivers, and hardware interfaces.
- Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing of embedded applications.
- Work closely with development teams to understand requirements and define test strategies and validation plans.
- Automate test cases using Python libraries/frameworks (PyTest, Unittest, Robot Framework, etc.).
- Validate communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet.
- Perform hardware-in-loop (HIL) testing and device-level validation.
- Analyze logs, debug issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and ensure defect closure.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab/Azure DevOps).
- Ensure product quality through continuous testing, coverage improvement, and defect tracking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and hardware teams.
- Maintain documentation for test procedures, frameworks, and results.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Python programming for automation.
- Experience in embedded systems testing (firmware, drivers, RTOS/Linux-based systems).
- Proficiency in test automation frameworks (PyTest, Robot Framework, Unittest).
- Understanding of communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN).
- Experience with Linux-based embedded systems and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of debugging tools (JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes).
- Expertise in software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC processes.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and defect tracking tools (Jira).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Embedded Linux, Yocto, Buildroot.
- Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, MQTT, HTTP).
- Exposure to performance testing and stress testing in embedded environments.
- Experience in hardware testing setups and lab environments.
- Familiarity with static code analysis and test coverage tools.
- Bachelor?s degree in engineering/computer science/IT or equivalent practical experience.
