Role Overview
As a Software Engineer II, you will participate in the full software development lifecycle with increasing autonomy by analysing requirements, designing, developing, testing, documenting and maintaining automation solutions supporting software deployment, engineering workflows and system integration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation solutions using C#, .NET, PowerShell, Python and object-oriented programming principles.
- Contribute to deployment automation, CI/CD, Azure DevOps (ADO), GitHub, Git and release automation initiatives.
- Identify manual engineering processes and improve them through reusable automation solutions, scripting, and engineering tooling.
- Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC), environment provisioning, configuration management and deployment automation activities.
- Improve observability through logging, monitoring, analytics, and performance dashboards.
- Develop and execute unit tests while troubleshooting and debugging software issues.
- Develop automation solutions supporting Windows environments and networking technologies.
- Support virtualization and cloud platforms including VMware, Nutanix, AWS and Azure.
- Develop solutions using XML, JSON, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or React.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and participate in design and code reviews.
- Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in software development, system automation, deployment automation, DevOps, or related engineering disciplines.
- Experience with object-oriented programming, CI/CD, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
