Golang Developer

Role Overview

Phycom Corporation is looking for a Software Developer (GoLang) to augment its team for extending a US-based client's Engineering team. The role involves maintaining and developing GoLang backend APIs for large web and mobile applications, while managing code repositories, builds, and releases.

Responsibilities

• Learn client requirements, maintain and develop GoLang code.
• Work with other developers, QA and management to verify GoLang code.
• Follow best practice to maintain code repository, unit test and application release cycle.
• Communicate with the client on issues and queries.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in GoLang programming running on Linux servers.
• Experience in Microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, and GitHub.
• Expertise in databases like Postgres.
• Experience with gRPC and Protobuf for inter-service communication.
• Experience with Redis (caching).
• Experience with event-driven / message-driven systems (e.g. NATS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ).
• Strong US English communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with JIRA or other task management tools.
• Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience deploying via Helm charts on GKE / Google Cloud.
• Exposure to distributed tracing/observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Exposure to integrating LLM/AI APIs (e.g. OpenAI) into backend services.
